Alpha v1.0.0 - Massive Loadout/Gear Update


Updated Loadout Menu!

This is where you'll be selecting your loadout from now on.
You can easily search for what you need by clicking an icon and selecting from the box on the right.


New Equipment: Gears

Unlockable equipment that lets you attach attributes that boost your performance in battle.

All gears have a point amount that you can invest in to make it stronger.

You only have 8 points to share across the up to 5 gears you want so be diligent with your investments!

All Equipment is unlocked while the game is in Alpha.

Here are the new gears that are in the game.

Thick Armor - Gain 2/4/6 Armor
Wave Strider - All Abilities gain 0.5/0.75/1.0u of width
Aerodynamic - All projectiles have an increased throw range of +1/+2/+3 units. The speed of them is increased by 10/20/30%
Toughness - Grants a 15/30/45 shield. This refreshes after clearing a room. Only activates if you have less than 15/30/45 shield.
Medical Coating - Heals the player for 10/20/30% of their maximum health after clearing a room.

Re-bindable Keybinds

All abilities and items now support custom keybinds.
If QWERTY isn't your style of tea, you can change them by hovering over the icon and pressing the key you want. 

Health Rebalance

Following the changes to the Equipment system. It is going to be much easier to survive once you build the armor and health you need.
I have decided to reduce the max HP of the characters to promote people to engage with the equipment for more survivability or damage.

This is a big swing so I expect to have to bump it up later if it is too difficult.

Alik's Max HP reduced from 135 to 90.
Claire's Max HP reduced from 145 to 100.

Alik's Movement Speed reduced from 3u/s to 2.75u/s
Claire's Movement Speed reduced from 3u/s to 2.5u/s

Another Claire Rework

Refocusing the turret into a short-range machine gun that sits at the back while you try to draw attention. It can also be useful sponge if you have enough firepower to keep it healed.

Claire's Turret HP increased from 45 to 60.
Claire's Turret Shot cooldown reduced from .5s to .2s
Claire's Turret Shot damage reduced from 9 to 5.
Claire's Turret Shot range reduced from 12u to 8u.
Claire's Turret Shot now only damages 1 enemy at a time but is an instant cast.
Claire's Pulsebomb Grenade damage reduced from 20 to 16.

I'm upping the stamina on most enemies so that they don't stand around waiting for their bar.

They'll be more aggressive since they won't wait for cooldowns all the time, leaving them around with a full bar will be more punishing still they'll attack frequently.

Craggy Crustacean's Max Stamina increased from 20 to 40
Fervorous Flyer's Max Stamina increased from 15 to 30
Jolted Jelly's Max Stamina increased from 15 to 30
Luminary Loafer's Max Stamina increased from 80 to 100

Bug Fixes

Fixes an issue where letting the wave timer decrement normally did not stop minions from healing and regaining lifetime.

Author Notes

Aside from the research rework and adding new content. The main mechanics of the game are done.
I'm excited to get this game out for more people to try out!
